RGB Corner Floor Lamp Guide: Sizes, Setup Ideas and Tips

Smart RGB corner floor lamp glowing pink and blue in a living room corner

Quick answer: An RGB corner floor lamp is a slim LED light bar that stands in a room corner and washes both walls with color. It’s used as mood lighting in gaming rooms, bedrooms and living rooms. Our Smart RGB Corner Floor Lamp comes in a 155 cm floor size and a 40 cm desk size, is controlled by remote or a Bluetooth app, and runs on a 5V 2A USB adapter.

What is an RGB corner lamp?

It’s a thin vertical light bar with RGB LEDs inside. Instead of shining into the room like a normal lamp, it points toward the corner, so the light bounces off two walls. The result is a soft, even color gradient without glare. You can pick one color or let it cycle through colors with different effects and speeds.

155 cm or 40 cm: which size do you need?

Setup ideas

Gaming room or streaming setup

  • Put the 155 cm lamp in the corner behind your desk so the light shows up in your camera frame.
  • Add a 40 cm lamp on each side of the monitor for a symmetrical look.
  • Match the lamp color to your keyboard or game theme, or use a slow color cycle for background movement.

Bedroom

  • Use a single warm color (orange, amber or soft red) at low brightness in the evening instead of the ceiling light.
  • Place it in the corner farthest from the bed so the light is indirect.

Living room

  • An empty corner beside the TV is the best spot. The colored glow reduces the contrast between a bright screen and a dark room.
  • Use dynamic color cycles for parties and a calm single color for movie nights.

Tips before you buy

  • Power adapter: the lamp comes with a USB cable but no wall adapter. Use a 5V 2A USB adapter. A weaker adapter can cause flicker.
  • Remote batteries: the remote needs 2 × AAA batteries, which are not included.
  • Corner space: the base sits in the corner, so leave a little room behind furniture.
  • Cable: plan where the USB cable runs to the nearest socket or power strip.

FAQ

Can I control the lamp from my phone?

Yes. It connects to a smartphone app over Bluetooth, where you can set colors, brightness, effects and speed. The included remote also works.

Is it bright enough to light a room?

No. It’s an ambient light for creating atmosphere, not a main light. Use it together with your regular lighting.

Is it hard to assemble?

No. Fasten the two base brackets, insert the tube sections one by one and plug in the USB cable. It takes a few minutes.

Can I power it from a laptop or power bank?

The lamp needs 5V 2A. Many laptop USB ports and small power banks supply less, which can make it flicker or not turn on, so a 5V 2A wall adapter is the safest option.
