I love this little set! So compact. The pigments are vibrant, so you only need to touch the cake with the tip of your brush. Very ingenious, and a MUST for the traveling watercolor artist!!

The fan out style of these paints make them really handy and actually make them a little more fun to use than just a regular palette. I’m not so sure how lightfast they’ll be but they are very vibrant. The set I received had the additional fold out mixing tray and the small mixing tray on the top now has a sponge attached there, which I think makes it all more useful. I would recommend these paints, especially if you are planning to use them in a sketchbook.

I am seriously impressed, I am a watercolor artist and I teach watercolor. These colors are vibrant and pretty transperant. Great for traveling. I wish they would have made the little trays white, the black background makes it hard to tell the true color. Great starter set for beginners, great price!

Love, love, love this set!!! The colors are beautiful and very vibrant and a little goes a long way. I was skeptical when I first saw these but the set is really nice. They fan out nicely, there is a place to wipe the tip of your water brush on which is removable so you can clean it, and it has a mixing tray that fans out too. Really nice set and I would recommend it to anyone.

The pigments are very concentrated. The colors are more vibrant than they appear, especially the darker values. I bought two sets, one for my mom, who is less mobile these days and one for myself. She painted her first watercolor painting today. I am an art educator myself and would recommend this set to anyone. It is so compact, the way it folds up. The brush pen has a water compartment. The pigments have a creamy consistency that you normally don’t find in pan sets. Two thumbs up!
