Does a good job! Works best with smaller pieces of meat…hamburger patties, steak, chicken etc.

Didn’t know there was a product like this on the market. Defrost food thoroughly in half the time, maybe even sooner. Tip: make sure you put it in a cookie sheet/jelly roll pan with high sides to collect defrosted liquid that comes off. You could also put in the sink.

Wow! This product does the job super fast! Its thermal conductivity is very high, but its effectiveness depends on surface area. We use it for flat (or flattened) meats, like chicken breast and pork chops so it is fantastic for us! For meats without a lot of surface area in contact with the board, it’s not so useful… Highly recommended!

I remember seeing this on TV. My wife and I had the same thought “yeah right”. Turns out I’m eating my own words.
Not it doesn’t quickly unfreeze everything in minutes. Anyone who was awake in their high school science class understands that it is drawing the cold temp away from the meat. It is not a quick reaction but it does speed up the defrosting. Since it does speed up the defrosting, I recommend it. Just don’t think it’ll defrost within heartbeats.

This works as advertised and thaws meat and chicken a lot faster than putting it in a sinkful of cold water. Be sure to place some paper towels under it, though, because it makes puddles in no time at all. Or, you can put this in an empty sink before you put the meat on it and let the water drain away. It works just as well with the meat still in a zippered freezer bag, but not so good if the meat is still on the styrofoam tray.
