This is a perfect item for the elderly (and others). It is easy to plug into a cell phone and talk. The sound is clear for you and who you are calling. My mom, who has problems with her memory, uses this and loves it! Many days she has forgotten how to use a cell phone but the old retro phone stays in her brain.
Highly highly recommend for all your parents and grandparents. Help them stay in touch.

I got this to hook to my Android cell phone as my dad complained he could not hear me when I called him. It worked great for him, he said the sound on his end was much better.

I purchased this handset for my sister after purchasing one for myself. It makes talking on the phone very handy because you can put your phone in your pocket and balance the handset on your shoulder, freeing both hands for other things.It is also a great conversation piece.

I bought this because I often need my hands free when I am on my cell phone and can more easily hold it between my shoulder and cheek then my cell. I have tested it asking the person on the other end if they can hear a difference in my voice and I am told it takes the background noise out and it does not reduce the quality of the sound. Looks and feels like a toy, the cord seems a bit fragile but it works fine.
